DIY Hair Bow Organization for Little Girls

If you have a daughter -- you know you have bows just about everywhere.  Right when I found out I was expecting a girl back in 2014, I knew I needed all of the bows.  Add in another girl and we are literally picking up bows in every. single. room. in. the. house.

This mess though....

There are so many ideas for bow storage but I needed one that was practical and easy to keep organized.  I'm fairly high on the OCD-scale so I also needed one that stored bow clips as well as bow hairbands (you know, with the elastic bands).

Voila!

This project is so simple and won't take you long to complete at all!

Here's what you need:

- a wooden photo frame (the bigger the frame, the more space for bows)
- cute ribbon
- a staple gun
- screw hooks
- metal wall hanging piece
- a hook to attach to back of frame to hang on wall (these are usually found right in one of those wall-hanging kits)
- ALL. THE. BOWS.

Step 1: Take off the backing & glass of wooden photo frame -- you don't need it!

Step 2: Screw in screw hook to underneath photo frame (we did ours landscape, but if you wanted, you can also do portrait).

Step 3: Measure length of ribbon needed and cut pieces to place from top to bottom of photo frame.

Step 4: Use staple gun to attach ribbon. You'll want to make sure you pull tightly, because after time, the ribbon will begin to sag, especially if you have a lot of bows!
**Totally let my husband do this part. Not sure I want anything to do with utilizing a staple gun!

Step 5: Attach metal wall hanging piece.

Step 6: Organize your bows however you see fit -- I try to keep organized by color but sometimes it does get messy.

Step 7: Hang on the wall -- you'll want to keep higher so your little ones don't yank it off of the wall!

And DONE!

Now run out and buy more bows -- you know you want to!
