Friday Favorites

This was *such* a quick week! No surprise to me though - the last couple of weeks of summer vacation always seem to fly by. I have two more weeks of vacation before heading back to work to kick off the 2015-2016 school year. Until then, I'm on a mission to really enjoy what's left of summer!

Last week I featured some of Elizabeth's favorites. I hope you all checked out those books and bought them for your little ones! They really are great!

This week I'm focusing on my summer favorites!

1. Peach Green Tea Lemonade
All ingredients (including that cute summer cup) are from Target. I'd say it was about $7 or $8 total.

If you follow me on IG, you saw my copycat version of Starbucks delicious Peach Green Tea Lemonade. It's so delicious. Don't get me wrong. I love going to Starbucks and I still have a freebie awaiting me, but almost $4 for a refreshing drink adds up fast when you repeat several times a week. Basically you just need the Peach Green Tea concentrate (I use Tazo's version), some lemonade (Simply Balanced from Target), filtered water, and some ice cubes! I did equal parts of the concentrate and lemonade, added several splashes of water, and poured over ice! So tasty! So refreshing! So summer-y!

2. Loft Elephant Shorts
I don't remember the cost! Sorry!

Who knew that wearing animals was cool this summer. In late May I picked up this pair of shorts and I fell in love. My husband thought I was a bit odd, but with the right solid color t-shirt, it's the perfect summer look!

3. Kate Spade Watch
$166.90, Nordstrom

Normally I don't shop at Nordstrom. Clearly I need to change my view on that! Somehow though, I'm on their mailing list and last weekend I received an e-mail about their Anniversary Sale. I quickly spotted a watch that I absolutely fell in love with. I had to have it. So, I batted my eyelashes and busted out the lower lip (cute puppy face style) and looked at my husband. Boy I sure am lucky because on Saturday afternoon, he agreed that he would buy it as an early anniversary present. (We celebrated three years this past Tuesday). I LOVE it. I pretty much stare at it all day.

So those are some of my favorites for today! What are your Friday favorites?

  1. I feel like I'm the only one who didn't shop their anniversary sale ;) Glad you got something!

  2. I love your elephant shorts! I've been eyeing those cute printed shorts all summer. I am sure they make some maternity version, but I have yet to find any (and they probably wouldn't be the price if I did). Anyway, great list.

  3. Ooh, I'll have to try your copycat recipe for that lemonade. It's a combo of a bunch of my favorite flavors, so I know I'm going to love it! And I agree, those $4 Starbucks drinks add up quickly!
Enjoy the last of your summer break!

  4. Cute shorts! And the lemonade sounds delicious! Right now I'm loving these plastic cups I got at Target for 75 cents each. They are kid-friendly, BPA-free but look so much nicer than the Mickey Mouse cups I normally have for the kids.

  5. Mmm...the tea sounds great. I LOVE the elephant shorts!

  6. The Peach Green Tea Lemonade sounds DELICIOUS! I am a huge green tea fan, and who doesn't like fruity drinks or lemonade? I'll definitely be picking these things up when we make our inevitable weekend grocery run. Thanks for sharing.

  7. Oh, how I love peach green tea lemonade! Thanks for posting about it and making me want some.

  8. I feel like the summer has flown by. I hope to still get the kids to the zoo before school begins.

  9. Congrats on your three year anniversary! Enjoy your awesome watch! :D

  10. Oh I am in love with the peach green tea and you are right it does get expensive without even realizing it, I will be using that recipes. Love the watch too super cute. Happy Anniversary!

  11. Those shorts though! Lots of great finds, I'm just sorry I missed it :(

  12. Those shorts are SO cute! I love elephants! Great fine!

  13. Those shorts are so cute! I'm a little bit jealous ;)
